I have a very small bubble on the right hand side of the red vertical line. I can't say I know what that is about. But having tested a couple of different compasses, I am getting the right reading. So I don't believe it is doing anything to compromise us getting the right reading. This question might be a better question for the manufacturer of the compass. Good question. Great observation on your part.
The small hole used to connect the tripod has an outer diameter of 0.314in（8mm） and an inner diameter of 0.204in（5.2mm）. Please find a suitable tripod to support it.
It has an aiming line and of course it points to North. It also has a slope line. Honestly, for the money, it does more than I know what to do with. It’s great for rough terrain and weather.
